Description
This milestone, located on the east side of the road 450 yards north of Crosslands Farm, is possibly from the early 19th century. It is a monolithic stone approximately 2 feet high and has a triangular shape with a domical top and ruled dressing. The stone is painted white, featuring sans-serif lettering and numbers in black: "KIRKBY LONSDALE 6" on the north face and "KENDAL 6" on the south face.
