Description

A barn, likely dating from the 18th century, stands near Mansergh Old Town. The barn is constructed from stone rubble with a stone slate roof, though part of the southern slope is slate. It is a 6-bay structure featuring a cow house beneath the eastern end. The building includes ventilation slots and square holes. The south side displays a blocked entrance with a flat arch. The north side has a barn entrance with a pentice and pivoted doors, a blocked entrance to the right, and a light to the left. The east gable end has an entrance with a pivoted door containing ventilation slots, a 2-light wooden mullioned window above, and a similar window lacking a mullion to the gable. The interior reveals collar and tie beam trusses.
