Description
The walls and piers to the main gate at Dufton Hall are 19th-century structures. The rusticated gate and end piers have a cruciform shape, featuring moulded bases and corniced, stepped tops, with the gate piers being larger than the end piers. The serpentine flanking walls are made of ashlar stone, complete with moulded plinths and semicircular copings.
