Description
Midtown Farmhouse is a house with an attached barn, built in the late 18th century. The exterior features incised stucco with rusticated quoins. The roof at the rear is stone flagged, while the front has Welsh slate with stone-flagged eaves, along with stone copings and kneelers, and rendered mid and end chimneys.
The building is two stories high with a six-bay front. It has a part-glazed door set in a late 19th-century surround that features stop-chamfers, with the top of the original moulded pediment still visible above. To the left, there are three sashes with glazing bars, and to the right, there are two sashes, one of which is in a late 19th-century surround similar to the doorcase. Above, there are five Yorkshire sashes with glazing bars. The barn range adjoining the west end at the rear has segmental heads over a wagon door and a byre door.
