Description
The former entrance gates and walls east of Hutton-in-the-Forest Hall date from the early 19th century. They feature dressed red sandstone walls and ashlar piers. The gates are flanked by double square rusticated piers that sit on chamfered plinths, topped with moulded caps and ball finials. The intervening sections consist of spearhead cast iron railings and similar gates. There is a low stepped serpentine wall that ends in piers matching those of the gates. This wall continues for a short distance in both directions beyond the piers, stepped and with chamfered coping.
