Description
The entrance gateway and walls located northwest of Hutton-in-the-Forest Hall date from the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are constructed from pink sandstone ashlar. The gateway features tall square rusticated gate piers topped with shaped caps and ball finials. Flanking the gateway are serpentine walls that have saddle-back coping, which ends in piers that resemble the gate piers but lack rustication. This structure is listed for its group value with Hutton-in-the-Forest Hall.
