Description

Laundry Cottage is a house dated 1675, with the inscription "T & IN" above the former entrance. It has an early 20th-century extension and alterations. The building is constructed of mixed slate and sandstone rubble, topped with a Welsh slate roof that features bottom courses of sandstone slates and cement-rendered rebuilt chimney stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and has two bays, with a single-storey, single-bay extension on the left.

The centre doorway has been partly blocked to create a sash window within a stone architrave, beneath the dated lintel. There are sash windows in original chamfered surrounds, with the right-side windows showing signs of removed stone mullions. The extension includes a 20th-century door and sash window in stone surrounds. At the rear, there is a small blocked 17th-century window, with the lintel inscribed "TN." The adjoining farm buildings are not of interest.
