Description
Home Farm is a house that was formerly an inn and later converted into two cottages. It dates from the late 17th century, with 18th and 19th century extensions and refacing, as well as a 20th century extension. The building is constructed of rubble with freestone dressings and features concrete tile roofs with raised coped verges. It has two storeys and five windows, all of which are sash windows, except for the right ground floor window which has 16 panes and is a 20th century replacement. The central window in the left three is a blocked doorway with chamfered jambs. The other windows are set in flat surrounds, except for two windows to the right of a straight joint, which have keystones cut into the lintel. The three bays on the left have quoins and a continuous string course above the first floor. Each gable features a two-light casement window in a reserved hollow moulded frame and mullion. There is a 20th century garage to the left and a large 20th century rear extension with a catslide roof. The interior has not been inspected.
