Description

This boundary post, dated 1827, was created for the Bath Turnpike Trust. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular shape with a half-hexagon top. The inscription reads: "DUNKERTON 1827 WELLOW/...RNPIKE TRUST". The post is located at the National Grid Reference ST 7157 5933 on the A367, within the parishes of Combe Hay and Dunkerton and Tunley. This asset has been listed three times previously, with duplicate records removed from the list on 16 January 2019.
