Description
Unthank Hall is a late 18th-century farmhouse with extensions dated 1838. The original house is to the rear and has a two-storey, two-bay front extension in a double span, along with a right-angled two-storey, three-bay left extension, forming an overall L-shape. The walls are painted stucco with raised red sandstone quoins, pebble-dashed to the rear, and are covered by a graduated greenslate roof with stone and brick chimney stacks. A panelled door with a matching overlight sits within a stone surround. Sash windows with glazing bars are set under hoodmoulds. The left extension has a slightly projecting gable, and the left return wall has similar windows. A round-headed staircase window is located at the rear of the original house.
