Description
The gate piers and gates located to the north-west of Denton Hall are likely from the mid to late 19th century. The piers are made of ashlar and stand approximately 4 metres high, featuring recessed panels, an entablature, and a deep cornice. Vase finials, which may be 19th or 20th century additions, adorn the tops of the piers. The gates consist of two leaves with bars and dogbars that have spear-head finials, along with decorative scroll and circle motifs. There is also a low pedestrian gate to the left (south) that matches the style of the main gates.
