Description

Church Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone with graduated stone slates for the roof. The house has two storeys and a symmetrical, two-by-two-bay layout. It features a plinth and quoins. The central entrance has a half-glazed, four-panel door sheltered by a deep, flat, corniced hood. Windows on the ground floor are flanked by 20th-century additions in flush stone surrounds with projecting sills; smaller, similar windows are on the first floor. The roof has shaped kneelers, gable copings, and banded end stacks. The interior was not inspected during a resurvey. The building is included on the list for its group value.
