Description
The entrance to Yard 34, located at Finkle Street in Kendal, is part of a group of shops dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with later alterations. The building is constructed of wet-dashed rubble and features a moulded cast-iron gutter supported by dentils. It has a graduated slate roof with a stone chimney in the middle. The structure is three storeys high. Number 32 has two bays, with a 19th-century shop front on the left and the yard entrance on the right, while the upper floors have sash windows. Number 36 is symmetrical with three bays, featuring a recessed 20th-century glazed door situated between original bow windows that have glazing bars. There is a 20th-century sign above and sash windows on the upper floors.
