Description
No. 25 and the entrance to Yard 23 is a shop that possibly dates back to the 17th century, with later additions and alterations. The building features a wet-dashed exterior, and the yard passage has a horizontally-planked wall on the left side, supported by chamfered beams that carry the first floor. It has a graduated slate roof with a skylight to the left of a central gabled dormer and a stone chimney located at the center rear.
The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. There is a part-glazed door situated between plate-glass windows, which have chamfered frames adorned with a small rosette in each upper corner. The 19th-century wooden surround includes stop-chamfered pilasters and foliate bosses on the cavetto cornice. To the left in the yard passage, there is an 18th-century panelled door. The first floor features paired sash windows and two single sashes, while the dormer has a casement window. An extension at the rear includes 18th-century wood-mullioned windows at the eaves on the east elevation and a panelled door on the west.
