Description

This is a three-storey house, built in 1792 for the Crewdson family, and later used as a surgery. It is constructed from coursed, squared rubble with quoins to the west end, and has a cornice to the eaves. The roof is slate, with stone chimneys at the ends. The building has four bays. A set of stone steps leads to a recessed entrance with part-glazed double doors, sheltered by a bracketed cornice and incorporating wrought-iron handrails with spiral ends. There are two sash windows to the left and one to the right on each floor, including the cellar level; each floor above the door also has a sash window. The second-floor sashes have glazing bars. A full-height stair window with glazing bars is visible on the east return of the building.
