Description
The Dun Horse is a 19th-century inn located at No. 5 Stramongate in Kendal. The building features wet-dashed rubble on a plinth and has a moulded cast-iron gutter supported by dentils. It has a graduated slate roof and stone chimneys at both ends. The structure is two storeys tall with a cellar and consists of three bays. The entrance includes a part-glazed door set in a stop-chamfered stone surround, with three sash windows (one narrow) to the left and four sash windows (two narrow) above. There is also cellar access in the plinth to the far left. The building is included for its group value.
