Description
No. 28 Market Street is a shop that was originally part of Croft House, which is listed separately. It dates from the early 19th century and has undergone some alterations. The ground floor features incised stucco, while the first floor is pebble-dashed. The building has a graduated slate roof with stone copings and kneelers, and it is topped with stone end chimneys. It stands two storeys tall. To the left of the projecting, embattled shop front, there is a part-glazed door beneath a rectangular fanlight. The shop front also has narrow sash windows on either side. The first floor features a tripartite sash window with a stucco surround, and there is a band on the first floor that continues from Croft House.
