Description

NY 7708 KIRKBY STEPHENS MARKET STREET (West Side)

9/4 No. 28 (previously 6.2.68 listed as part of Fountain Cafe) G.V. II

Shop, originally part of Croft House (listed separately). Early C19 with later alterations. Incised stucco to ground floor, pebble-dashed 1st floor. Graduated slate roof with stone copings and kneelers; stone end chimneys. 2 storeys. Part-glazed door under rectangular fanlight to left of projecting, embattled, shop front with narrow sash windows to the sides. Tripartite sash with stucco surround to 1st floor. 1st floor band (continued from Croft House).
