Description

This is a house from the mid-18th century with later alterations, located at the north end of Monument View in Alston. It is constructed of coursed, squared rubble with quoins on the north end. The roof is made of graduated stone flags and features a brick chimney at the north end, while a shared brick chimney is located in the middle, serving Monument View. The front of the house is three stories high and has two bays. It includes a panelled door on the ground floor with a sash window to the left. To the right, there are steps leading up to a panelled door on the first floor, with a single sash window to the left and above.
