Description

Milford and Grove Cottage is a pair of houses built in the 1830s to 1840s, likely for the Corby Castle Estate. They are constructed from dressed red sandstone with raised quoins and feature a slate roof and brick chimney stacks. The buildings are two storeys high, with Milford having three bays and Grove Cottage having two bays. The entrances and windows have plain surrounds, and Milford includes a cornice supported by console brackets. The windows are single-bar sashes, and the doors were replaced in the 20th century. These cottages are listed for their group value with Sunny Nook and Clematis Cottage.
