Description
Brookside and Cammock House is a pair of houses built in the early 19th century. They are made of dressed red sandstone with ashlar quoins and feature a hipped slate roof and brick chimney stacks. Each house has two storeys and two bays. The entrances and windows have plain stone surrounds, with stone hoods supported by shaped brackets above the entrances. The gutter has modillions, and the houses have sash windows with glazing bars, while the doors are from the 20th century. These houses were likely built as workers' cottages for the nearby cotton works at Woodbank.
