Description
St Ninian's Well is a wellhead built in the 1830s to 1840s by Sarah Losh. It is made of dressed sandstone and features a square flagged trough. The wellhead has a round-headed arch that is adorned with incised roll moulding, decorated with crosses and lozenges. This site marks the location of an ancient well dedicated to St Ninian, which was rebuilt by Sarah Losh. The original inscription is no longer visible.
