Description
Brisco Hill is a house built in the late 18th century, with an addition from around 1830. It features dressed red sandstone walls, with an extension made of rubble walls, and a graduated slate roof with rendered chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and consists of five bays, while the extension has two storeys and three bays. The entrance is marked by two engaged Tuscan columns, an open dentilled pediment, and a round-headed arch. The sash windows have plain squared surrounds and glazing bars, and there is a six-panel door with a radial fanlight. The render was removed around 1980. In the Cumberland Guide & Directory from 1811, it is referred to as the mansion of John Thomlinson. The listing does not include outbuildings.
