Description
Croft House and Petteril Villas are a row of three houses built in the early 19th century. They feature dressed red sandstone walls, a graduated slate roof, and brick chimney stacks. Each house is two storeys high and has three bays. The entrances are adorned with moulded surrounds and architraves, topped with a moulded cornice. There are coped gables at each end of the row. A carriage arch with a keyed rounded head separates Croft House from No. 1 Petteril Villas. Croft House retains its original upper floor sash windows with glazing bars, while the others have been replaced. Each house has 20th-century doors. The buildings are included partly for their group value.
