Description
The Croft is a house with attached walls, built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a pantile roof with a single gable stack on the right side. The eaves are decorated with dentil detailing. The building has two storeys plus a garret and is composed of three bays, with a band at the first floor level.
The central doorway has a panelled door, an overlight, and a ribbed surround. On either side of the door are tripartite Yorkshire sashes with glazing bars. Above the door, there are three additional sash windows, all of which are set under segmental arches.
Attached to the house are low red brick walls that extend northwards from each corner. These walls have ashlar coping and drop down before extending for 5 metres, turning at a right angle, and continuing for another 5 metres. They then rise to meet a square pier topped with pyramidal ashlar coping. A small wooden gate is located in the center of the wall.
