Description
Binge Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse constructed of red brick with a pantile roof. It features two rendered gable stacks and decorative dogtooth and dentil eaves. The gables are raised, with brick coping and tumbled brickwork. The building has an L-shaped plan and consists of two storeys plus a basement and garret, with a total of five bays. A moulded band runs along the first floor. The left bays are set on a plinth, while the right two basement bays each have a single blocked window opening under a segmental arch. The central doorway has a 20th-century door and overlight, with two 20th-century glazing bar casements on either side in the original openings. All ground floor openings feature flush wedge lintels. Above, there are five similar casements. The gable of the rear wing is also raised and coped.
