It features whitewashed sandstone rubble walls and a steeply pitched roof that was originally thatched but has been replaced with 20th-century tiles. The cottage is a single storey with four bays. A projecting stone porch with a pointed arch leads to a 20th-century door. There are three replacement casement windows with glazing bars set in original plain surrounds, as well as one 20th-century bow window with glazing bars to the left of the entrance.
