Description

Bog Farmhouse and the adjoining former barn date from the early 18th century, with the walls raised in height in the mid-18th century. The ground floor is made of cobbles that have been raised with brick and whitewashed. The former barn is constructed of whitewashed sandstone rubble and has a common greenslate roof with brick chimney stacks. The farmhouse is two stories high and has two bays, while the former barn to the left also has two bays.

The entrance to the cross-passage features a plank door set within a painted stone surround. The farmhouse has sash windows with glazing bars in painted stone surrounds, and there is an enlarged 20th-century steel casement window on the ground floor to the right. The former barn has an entrance to the right of the cross-passage, with a sash window above that also has glazing bars in a painted stone surround. There is a 20th-century central window in a chamfered surround and another doorway to the right.

At the rear of the house, there is sculptured stone built into the wall above the entrance. The rear wall of the former barn features a plank door and sash windows with glazing bars in painted stone surrounds. The adjoining barn to the left of the farmhouse is not of interest.
