Description
Mealrigg Hall is a farmhouse dated and inscribed over the rear entrance with the initials J.M.Y. and the year 1832. It is constructed of dressed red sandstone, featuring V-jointed quoins, and is topped with a graduated greenslate roof that has brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and consists of four bays. The front entrance has a panelled door with a glazed overlight, set within a pedimented doorcase. The windows are sash style with glazing bars and are framed in stone surrounds. There is also a Venetian stair window at the rear. The adjoining outbuildings are not of interest.
