Description
Yew Tree Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1672, as indicated by the inscription above the entrance. It has undergone some 19th-century alterations. The building features roughcast walls beneath a Welsh slate roof with coped gables and brick chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and has four bays, following a cross passage plan. The entrance has a 20th-century door set in a Tudor-style surround with a hoodmould. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, set in chamfered stone surrounds. The ground floor right window is a narrower fire window, and there is a small square window above the entrance. Two original windows on the upper floor have been blocked. At the time of the survey, the farmhouse was derelict and unoccupied, and the interior did not appear to have any notable features. A built-in cupboard from 1683 has been removed in the 20th century. The adjoining barns are not of interest.
