Description
Bank Side Farmhouse and barn adjoining date from the early 18th century, with alterations in the 19th century. The farmhouse has painted rendered walls and a graduated greenslate roof, with painted rendered gable-end chimney stacks. The barn is constructed of pink sandstone rubble and has a graduated greenslate roof. The farmhouse is two storeys and three bays wide, with a two-bay barn attached to the right under a common roof. The house has sash windows in chamfered painted stone surrounds, and a firewindow on the ground floor to the right. The barn features a cross-passage with a 20th-century door within a painted stone surround, a right segmental-headed doorway, and an off-centre plank door and loft doorway. A rear outshut is also present on the farmhouse. Further barns are not of particular interest.
