Description
Viaduct Cottage is a house dated and inscribed over the entrance with "J & MP 1754". It features whitewashed rubble walls and an eaves cornice set on a chamfered plinth. The roof is made of graduated greenslate and has rebuilt gable-end brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has four bays, with a lower left two-storey, two-bay extension. There is an off-centre 20th-century door in a stone surround, with a lintel that has a false keystone beneath a cornice. The windows are sash type, set in chamfered painted stone surrounds. The extension includes a plank door in a plain opening, sash windows with glazing bars in painted stone surrounds, and a fixed casement in a plain reveal above the door.
