Description
Jon's Farmhouse is a house dated 1725, featuring the initials W. and M.G. It has whitewashed sandstone walls that have been raised in height with brick, and a Welsh slate roof with brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys tall and has five bays. The plank door is framed by a plain painted stone surround, which includes a lintel inscribed with the date. The original windows on the upper floor to the right of the entrance have been filled in with brick, while 19th-century openings have been replaced with 20th-century casement windows that include glazing bars. There is one small original window to the right of the entrance. The left end bay is a 19th-century extension that features a 20th-century end wall.
