Description
Castle Hill is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed from sandstone ashlar with quoins and topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features a three-window range on the front, with a single stairwell window at the rear. There are single-storey wings on either side, each with one window; the right wing includes a covered seat. The farmhouse has axial stacks at the gable returns of both the main block and the wings. The central entrance is flat-arched, framed by chamfered quoins and a keystone. Inside, the entrance hall leads to a stairwell at the rear, featuring a moulded round arch and original design mouldings and stair. Low sandstone walls border the road, complemented by ashlared gate piers. To the northeast, there is a long, narrow, single-storey shed made of rubble sandstone with a slate roof.
