Description

The hay barn at Castle Hill is a late 19th-century structure built from sandstone and topped with a Welsh slate roof. It stands two storeys high and features five bays. The first floor is supported by stone pillars that have squared capitals, while the ground floor originally had carved kneelers, although only one remains today. This barn is part of a group that includes the farmhouse and a nearby bank barn.
