Description
Archway House is a house dated 1754, constructed from coursed squared gritstone. It features projecting corners, a moulded eaves band, coped gables, moulded kneelers, and both intermediate and west end ridge stacks, topped with a Welsh slated roof. The building is three storeys high and has three bays, with stacked flush mullioned 2-light openings. The heads of these openings are connected by continuous band courses. There are 19th-century casements and sashes throughout. The off-centre doorway has a quoined surround and a massive lintel with a dripmould above it. An inscribed tablet above the doorway reads "C.B. 1754," with a 20th-century inscription below. The entrance features a 19th-century four-panelled door. To the west of the doorway, there is a carriageway arch with a keyblock and plain double doors.
