SK 24 60 PARISH OF WINSTER MAIN STREET 3/31 (North Side) 12.7.67 Woodhays (formerly listed as premises occupied by Messrs Mosley) GV II

Shop, formerly a house. Mid C18 with late C19 alterations. Coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings, formerly roughcast, flush quoins, coped gables, moulded kneelers, plain copings, Welsh slate roof. Gable to street. East elevation: Two storeys and attics, five bays, formerly with 2-light flush mullioned windows, heads and cills linked by continuous flush band courses and with 4-pane casements. Windows now mainly blocked, only four remaining glazed. Blocked first floor doorway with massive quoined surround at south end, and central ground floor doorway with massive lintel, quoined surround and plank door. South gable refashioned in late C19, now with stacked sashes above ground floor, which has tall shop windows flanking central doorway.
