Description

This is a mid-18th century terrace of three houses, originally one larger dwelling. It was altered in the 19th century. The construction is of coursed rubble limestone with quoins, and has coped gables, moulded kneelers, coved eaves, and ridge stacks – brick on the east end and stone elsewhere. The roof is slate.

The building is three storeys high and has three bays. Generally, it features glazing bar sashes set in stone frames; the second-floor windows originally had flush mullions. Ground-floor windows have been altered, including twin sashes below a heavy lintel on the east end, a 19th-century bow shop front, a 20th-century bow window, and 19th-century glazed double doors on the west end. There are three doorways, each with a massive lintel and quoined surround. The central doorway has a planted timber pediment on decorated brackets which obscures the lintel. Interior doors are six-panelled, except at the west end. The east gable has 18th-century two-light flush mullioned windows. A two-light chamfer mullioned window of the 17th century is located on the rear elevation.
