Description

The gate piers and flanking walls to Winster Hall date from the 18th century. They are made of V-jointed ashlar gritstone and are square in shape, featuring moulded caps and originally topped with cone finials. On either side of the main piers are smaller versions of the piers, also with cone finials, connected by modern railings. The flanking walls, constructed of ashlar gritstone, are stepped on the east side and have hogsback copings.
