Description
The Bowling Green Inn is a public house dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble gritstone and features quoins, coped gables, stone stacks on the intermediate and north gable ridges, and a roof covered with plain tiles and Welsh slates. The building has a 'T' plan and stands two storeys high with attics. It has two bays, each with 19th-century single-glazed bar sash windows set in flush stone frames on both the ground and first floors. The attics feature gabled dormers, which have copings and kneelers, along with 2-light flush mullioned windows that include 19th-century casements. The entrance is off-centre and is obscured by a later porch. The side and rear elevations still show 2-light flush mullioned openings, which have both sashes and casements.
