Description
Ivy Cottage is a house dating from the mid or late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features painted stucco over sandstone rubble and is topped with a graduated Welsh slate roof that has 19th-century red sandstone chimney stacks. The building is two stories high and has three bays. The front of the house has small sash windows set in painted stone surrounds. At the rear, there is a central semicircular stone staircase projection and a left-hand plank door in a painted stone surround, which is located within a 20th-century porch. There is also a small lean-to extension on the left side, which has a rear plank door in a plain opening. Inside, the staircase has wooden treads. The adjoining former stable and the house beyond, which share a common roof, are not of interest.
