Description

The barn east of Viaduct Cottage is a 17th-century structure, dated and inscribed above the entrance with "SC 1736". It features mixed sandstone rubble walls with flush quoins and is topped with a graduated greenslate roof. The barn is two storeys high and consists of four bays. On the left side, there is a large segmental cart doorway along with several smaller doorways, all set in stone surrounds, one of which has a dated lintel. On the right side, there is a loft doorway. The left return wall includes an oval vent in the gable. This barn is listed for its group value with Viaduct Cottage.
