Description

Langrigg House is an early 19th-century farmhouse built of red sandstone ashlar. It features angle pilasters and an eaves cornice, set on a chamfered plinth, and is topped with a graduated greenslate roof that has ashlar chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with a lower two-storey, single-bay wing to the right. The entrance includes a panelled door beneath a glazed overlight, framed by a Tuscan doorcase. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, set in plain reveals. The extension also has sash windows, with the upper floor window featuring glazing bars. The adjoining farm buildings are not of interest.
