Description
The Laurels is a farmhouse with an adjoining barn, constructed with Flemish bond brickwork and featuring a graduated greenslate roof along with 20th-century brick chimney stacks. The barn has rendered and whitewashed clay walls. The building stands two storeys high and consists of three bays, with the barn to the left under a common roof. There is a four-panel door framed in a painted quoined stone surround. The farmhouse has sash windows with glazing bars, also set in painted stone surrounds. The barn includes ground floor slit vents at the front, and its end wall is made of mixed cobbles and sandstone rubble, which has a blocked entrance. The rear wall of the barn has been rebuilt using breeze blocks and features 20th-century steel casement windows.
