Description

Croft House is a late 18th or early 19th century farmhouse. It is constructed of squared and coursed red sandstone with painted V-jointed quoins and a painted chamfered plinth. The roof is covered with graduated Welsh slate, and there are stone chimney stacks. A single-bay extension adjoins the right side, built of mixed cobbles and sandstone rubble with flush red sandstone quoins and a brick chimney stack. The farmhouse itself is a two-story, three-bay building. A top-glazed panelled door is set within a painted stone surround and topped by a pedimented cornice. Sash windows with glazing bars are set in painted stone surrounds. A smaller upper floor casement window is present in the extension.
