Description
Lesson Hall is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century. It features painted incised stucco with an eaves cornice and V-jointed quoins. The roof is made of graduated greenslate and includes stucco chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays, with a lower single-bay extension to the right.
The entrance consists of a six-panel door set within a prostyle Tuscan porch, which has a decorated frieze under a dentilled cornice. On both floors, there are double sash windows with glazing bars flanking the entrance, and a single sash window with glazing bars above the door, all framed in painted stone architraves. The extension also has a further panelled door and sash windows with glazing bars, all within painted stone surrounds. At the rear, there is a Venetian stair window featuring intersecting glazing bars. The adjoining barns are not of interest.
