Description

Townend is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of painted stucco and features an eaves cornice and V-jointed quoins beneath a graduated greenslate roof, which has a coped gable and kneelers, along with stone chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays. The entrance consists of an 8-panel door set within a painted stone architrave, topped by a console-bracketed pediment. The windows are sash style, with the double windows on the left side of both floors, all framed in painted stone surrounds. An adjoining barn and extension are not of interest.
