Description
Kiln Brow and barn is a farmhouse and barn dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The building features painted incised render over limestone rubble and has a graduated greenslate roof with a rendered chimney stack. It is two storeys high and consists of four bays, with the barn located to the left under a common roof. There is a 20th-century door set in a painted stone surround, and the windows are casement style, with two in original surrounds and the others in 19th-century painted stone surrounds. A 20th-century porch is situated to the right and has a side door. The barn includes a blocked doorway that has been converted into a casement window, along with slit vents.
