Description
Pond House, formerly known as The Laurels, is a house that has been converted into three dwellings. It dates from the 17th century or earlier and has undergone later alterations and additions. The building is timber framed and faced with painted brick, featuring parapet verges and a red plain tiled roof. It has four red brick chimney stacks and stands two storeys high with a central band. The long structure is set back from a small pond and has a seven-window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes with glazing bars. On the ground floor, the windows alternate with three six-panelled doors, with the door to the right featuring a simple fluted surround. The central and left doors have reveal panels, fluted surrounds, moulded friezes, patera, and flat canopies.
