Description
The Old Rectory, formerly known as The Vicarage, is a house that dates from the 18th century or earlier. It is timber framed with a red brick facade, and has plastered returns and a rear section. The building features a double range with half hipped and gambrelled roofs covered in red plain tiles. There are three rear chimney stacks made of red brick. The house has two storeys and attics, with a central dormer window. The stone coping on the parapet is complemented by a brick band underneath and a central band. The front has a three-window range of vertically sliding sash windows with glazing bars and painted gauged arches. The central entrance is marked by a six-panelled door, flanked by fluted pilasters, with a frieze and a flat canopy above.
