Description
Lonsdale Terrace consists of 11 houses built in the mid-19th century, with some later additions and alterations. The buildings are finished in incised stucco and feature rusticated quoins at the northern end. They have a graduated slate roof that is hipped at the north end, with rendered chimneys. The houses are two storeys tall.
Nos 1-5 are each symmetrical with three bays. Each has a central door flanked by sash windows on both floors, with a blind window above the door. Nos 6-10 are each two bays wide, with a door to the left and two sash windows above. No 11 is also symmetrical with three bays, featuring a central door with a Tuscan portico, sash windows on either side, and three above, along with cellar windows.
Nos 1-7 have hoodmoulds with labels above their windows, while nos 8-11 have cornices supported by consoles. All doors are panelled and set in architraves leading up steps. Nos 1-3 feature hoodmoulds with labels, while nos 4-10 have cornices on consoles. Most sash windows have glazing bars, except for nos 5-7. There are also some dormer windows present.
